Anticipation for the HTC Sensation is high, with the dual-core Android 2.3 handset causing jaws to drop and chins to wag in equal measure. Now we even have a possible release date, courtesy of a Google ads slip-up.
It was recently spotted during a Google search for the HTC Sensation that an official HTC ad for the device pointed to June 8. The line in question reads: “HTC Sensation 4G – On 6/8 – Complete w/ HTC Watch & HTC Sense.”
Yes, we know that reads August 6 in English, but we have reason to believe that HTC’s going with the American date system on this one.
A recent US promo shot for the Sensation showed the date as June 6. In addition, the temperature read 68 degrees – two possible hints at a June 8 launch (in the US at least).
Is HTC being clever with us, or are we reading too much into it? Before the leaked ad we might have said the latter, but now it looks far more likely that some on the other side of the pond will be getting the HTC Sensation in about a month and a half. The question is, will the UK get it sooner or later than that?
