iPhone 5 to be a slightly tweaked iPhone 4? Late 2011 release rumours could be way off
By Jon on April 13th, 2011
The rumours surrounding a potential late release for the next iPhone are completely baseless, according to a fresh report. Read on for more details.
It’s been speculated that Apple is planning to launch the iPhone 5 a little later than usual. Whereas the traditional time for a new iPhone has always been June, many feel that Apple will delay the launch of its next smartphone until the end of the year.
According to some charged with making the components for any prospective new iPhone, that’s a load of nonsense. Apparently, Apple hasn’t released its product roadmap yet, so no one except those secretive Apple execs know when the iPhone 5 will arrive.
Indeed, orders for iPhone 4 production continue to pour in from Apple, with no cut-off date announced. This suggests that there’s plenty of life in the old smartphone yet, with some component providers suggesting that Apple might just tweak the existing handset and save the major changes until next June.
Other sources maintain that Apple will completely revamp the iPhone 4, while others have dragged out that old chestnut about the affordable iPhone. In other words, no one knows what on earth is going on and you should take everything you read with a pinch of salt.
But you knew that already, didn’t you?
