A Nokia Ovi browser could be on the cards is whispers on the web are to be believed. It seems that Nokia may be extending has extended its Ovi brand even further, and an Ovi-branded web browser could be in the pipeline from the Finnish firm.
A Nokia Ovi browser has been reported by several eagle-eyed sources who have reported the appearance of download pages for the browser at both the Nokia Beta Labs website and the main Ovi website, though access to them has now been blocked.

Beyond those basic details, little or nothing is known about the proposed Ovi browser at this stage, and there is of course the possibility that there is no new browser at all and Nokia is simply planning to take Symbian under the Ovi umbrella’s shelter and simply rename it.

Nokia’s OS market dominance has been on the wane in the last couple of years, and devices such as the Nokia C6 and Nokia N8 are seen as major releases for the company as it seeks to turn thinks around. Could this be a bid for another alice of the market?
