Adobe has shown-off some of the capabilities of the upcoming Android 2.2 FroYo operating system. Here are some screenies of the OS in action.
These screenshots are taken from a video of Adobe demonstrating the impressive Flash capabilities of the Android 2.2 operating system. We’ve sliced out the bits that show some of the Android 2.2 interface in action, rather than just Flash apps doing their stuff.
The most interesting shot is the home screen, which shows a dock feature that’s not present in the vanilla edition of Android 2.1. It would appear to offer shortcuts to the apps menu, the internet and the calling function. The dot icons to the left and right could either change home screens or scroll between dock options – your guess is as good as ours.
With Adobe already using a beta version of Android 2.2, it can’t be long before the new version of the OS hits phones. Rumours, and common sense, suggest that the Google Nexus One will be the first handset to benefit from the update.
