Dell FroYo Android phones slip out
The Dell Lightning wasn’t the only phone from the PC giant to land on the wilds of the web this morning. A whole stack of new Dell Android efforts have shown up and they pack in the very latest FroYo software. Keep reading and we’ll serve up those delicious details.
The Dell Flash leads the line with Android 2.2, FroYo, underneath a gorgeous 3.5-inch panel, micro SD up to a whacking 64GB, TV out, Wi-Fi and GPS. The only bad news is that Dell has this one lined up for early 2011, meaning us Android freaks have got a long old wait to get hold of one.
On top of the Flash there’s the Dell Smoke, which takes its cue from the latest LG Chocolate with a lengthy bod’, housing a full QWERTY panel and 2.8-inch touchscreen. It also rocks FroYo, as well as Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and SD support up to 32GB.
For those who like to kick it old school, the Dell Thunder uses the current 2.1 build of Android, with a custom UI, a la HTC Sense slapped on top. Word has it this will rock Flash support and even a tasty 8 megapixel camera.
None of these phones are due to land any time soon, but keep your eyes peeled for plenty more details as the next-gen Android rumours gather pace.
