The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is officially coming to Vodafone. The coveted Xperia flagship, and Sony Ericsson’s first Android handset, has been dated for an April release, though Vodafone is keeping mum on exactly when in April. Read on for more details…
Like many of Sony Ericsson’s recent handsets, the Xperia X10 has kept us waiting, with initial hopes of a pre-Christmas release dashed almost as soon as they had arrived, then talk of a February release not quite happening either.
But even if we do have to wait until April, the Xperia X10 looks every bit worth the wait. Android’s presence is a big deal, of course (though it’s been repackaged in Sony Ericsson’s UX interface), but the wow factor doesn’t stop there.
Qualcomm’s powerful 1GHz Snapdragon processor guarantees plenty of grunt, while you can expect its gorgeous 4in capacitive touchscreen to get plenty of admiring looks. Sony Ericsson’s camera prowess is well established, so we’ve got high hopes for the built-in 8MP snapper, and GPS and Wi-Fi are both present and correct.
It adds up to a pretty impressive smartphone recipe, one we can’t wait to taste come April.
