Nokia Gig Finder is aimed at gig-goers who find themseves at a loss for a venue for the latest musical goings-on near them.

Launched for Symbian S60 5th Edition touchscreen devices, such as the Nokia 5800, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic and even the new Nokia 5230, the app lets you set your location (or choose a town or venue you want to visit) and then searches listings for gigs near you.

The easy search mode makes it easy to look up by date, location or venue and you can then buy tickets directly from the link, as well as check seat options.

And here’s the clever bit – once you’ve started buying tickets, the app will also make recommendations, suggesting other gigs you may like. What’s more, each artist also links directly with their profile page on Nokia Music.

Come gig day, you can even find directions and travel info to the gig and then share your info straight to Facebook or MySpace. Nice.
