Dell Mini 3i UK-bound
The Dell Mini 3i smartphone is coming to the UK! The computing giant’s Android-powered handset was made official to US consumers at CES last week, and the company has confirmed it’ll be heading this way too. In fact, Dell went as far as to say it was meant for the UK all along…
The Dell Mini 3i has been on sale in China since August, but details of its spread to western markets have thus far been sparse. Dell’s touchscreen contender comes packing Android version 1.5, with Dell’s own cosmetics providing a lick of paint on top.
Along with smartphone staples such as Bluetooth and GPS, you also get a decent-sized 3.5in screen though the camera is limited to just 3MP, though it does shoot video.
The Mini 3i was released in China in August, but at the time its lack of 3G and Dell’s own lack of comment on the subject suggested the prospects of the Mini 3i arriving on these shores wasn’t good. However, the US version definitely is 3G-capable, and so the UK version will be too we assume.
Aside from the confirmed go-ahead, though, there’s no further info at this stage on which networks will carry it, and when.
