The Nokia N900 was officially the most popular phone of the festive period, according to a poll right here on Fonehome. The spanking new Maemo-toting mini computer was not only top of our readers’ lists to Santa, but was also the handset that most people recieved over Festivus.Yes, the Nokia N900 seems to be top of phone-lovers’ most-wanted lists this Christmas, and a whopping 78% of our pollsters saw the handset pop from Santa’s sack into their eager mitts this holiday season.

The iPhone 3G S only received a handful of votes, but this might be down to careful consumers holding out for the Vodafone iPhone release before they shell out on a new year blower. So for now, it seems that the Nokia is streaking ahead in the new phone novelty stakes with the N900.
