The Nokia N87 – the next big N Series phone has had its details leaked, courtesy of a hastily filmed spec sheet posted on YouTube, and it looks as if the Finnish firm plan a monster 12MP snapper. Read on for more details…The Nokia N87 cameraphone appears to be a dual-slider handset that’s a like-for-like upgrade on the current N86 (pictured). The new model will build on the 8 megapixel N86′s camera prowess with a whopping 12 megapixel snapper, complete with the obligatory Zeiss optics and Xenon and Dual LED flash.
More good news for Nokia fans is that the 3.2in touchscreen is capacitive, following the lead of the newly launched Nokia X6. The N87′s engine room will have a 600MHz processor doing the heavy lifting, with 16GB of on-board storage for all those high-res pics.
The brief clip gives no real clue as to the N87′s stage of development, but given that the N86 only touched down in June, we’d put our money on a release date no sooner than the second half of next year.
