LG Max bursts on the scene
The LG Max has broken cover as an update to its popular LG Arena touchscreen handset. The LG Arena KM900 (pictured) has already sold in excess of a million units worldwide, but it seems LG isn’t resting on its laurels. Read on for more deets…
An LG device with the product code LU9400 has just passed through WiFi certification, normally a sign of a product far down the line of development.
The full name given is the LG Arena Max LU9400, with the ‘Max’ part almost certainly implying an update on the existing handset, either in spec or in size – or more probably, both.
Consensus is that the Arena Max will come packing a whopping 5in touchscreen, but like the existing Arena will run a proprietary OS rather than a full-blown smartphone OS. With LG’s current Arena boasting an 8MP camera, it’s a safe bet that the Max will shoehorn in a 12MP affair – with that screen size there will clearly be space for it.
At this stage, only the WiFi certification is a known fact, but we’ll be keeping our ear to the ground, and you’ll know more when we do.
