Written by Linsey on November 25, 2009 – 12:00 pm No Comment

moto_milestoneCould the Motorola Milestone (formerly the Motorola Droid) be heading to the UK next month? Online retailer SuperETrader has started taking pre-orders for the Motorola Milestone, and claims it will go on sale in the UK on December 7. Read on for more details…

Last month we reported the news that the Android 2.0-powered Motorola Milestone – or the Motorola Droid as it’s known in the US – was heading for these shores. Now, if SuperETrader is to be believed, we’ll finally be able to get our hands on what is without doubt one of the hottest mobile phones of 2009 in just two weeks’ time.
The retailer lists the Milestone at £439, which sounds about right given its €500 price tag in Germany, where it’s already on sale.

In the US, the Motorola Droid has delivered a much-needed shot in the arm for Motorola after years of shrinking profits. It runs the much-hyped Android 2.0 – the very latest version of Google’s mobile operating system which includes free turn-by-turn navigation on Google Maps among its new features.

On the hardware front, the Milestone boasts a 3.7in capacitive touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard and a five megapixel camera.
