How to share images on your Vodafone Samsung 360 M1

Written by Linsey on November 30, 2009 – 9:30 am View Comments

samsungLadies and gents, it’s the Vodafone 360 Samsung M1, the little brother in the Vodafone 360 range. We’ve already shown you how to set up Vodafone 360 on the Vodafone 360 Samsung H1, to stay in touch with all your friends. It’s not just about Facebook updates and instant messaging though – it’s also a great way to share photos  – and our handy guide will tell you how…

Set up Vodafone 360
You’ll need to set up a Vodafone 360 account on your Samsung M1 first to get that automatic cloud backup goodness for all your shots. You’ll be asked to join the first time you turn it on, but you can find instructions on how to set up Vodafone 360 here.

Ready the camera
The camera app on the Vodafone 360 Samsung M1 works like you’d expect on any new touchscreen phone. Just hold down the trigger button on the right hand side of the phone to open the screen, then press again to take. You’ll want to make a few tweaks in the Settings icon in the bottom left, including one option tucked away under the Setup tab, rather than Images. Turn the GPS on (it’s off by default), and your Samsung M1 will automatically save the location of every shot you’ve taken. To look at where you snatched a great image again, open up the picture file, press the … icon, then choose View On Map.

Set up albums
Take a shot for the first time and a row if icons will appear along the bottom of the screen. The right arrow icon will let you send via email, MMS or Bluetooth, while the Up arrow will upload your photo manually, but for now, choose the Folder icon. You’ll be asked to create a new Vodafone 360 album for it, so give it a name and save. After this, it’s really easy to add photos to albums: just press the Folder icon again and drag the thumbnails into the right category. Every shot you take will be backed up wirelessly to enjoy online too.

Share with Vodafone 360
Just like with the Samsung H1, if you’ve got friends on Vodafone 360 too, you can share whole albums quickly and easily. Just invite them through the People address book, and once they accept, you can share albums. This is best done by logging onto Vodafone 360 on the desktop at 360.com, then clicking the Photos tab along the top of the screen. Here you can view your private albums, which ones are shared with chosen friends, as well as those your mates have shared with you.

Share more
Vodafone 360 integrates all your social networks, so it’s unsurprising that it’ll let you upload to them too. If you want to share your impromptu snap with a celeb to everyone you know, just open up the particular image, and hit the social media Share button (it’s the one with a pin on it). You’ll see a list of the services you can whack your photo on, and sitting pretty just below Vodafone 360 will be ultimate procrastination platform Facebook.

Configure
One final note: if you want, you can turn off automatic backup of your shots. Just open up the Samsung M1’s Settings menu, navigate to Application Settings, then Gallery, then switch from Automatic to Manual. You’ll have to remember to press the Upload button whenever you want to keep a shot on the web.

Please explain me how to set a one wallpaper on my desktop phone display, instead of all icons on it?

    Thanks in advance!
