Motorola Droid headed to UK as Motorola Milestone?
The Motorola Droid looks set for a name change when it hits our shores later this year – to become the Motorola Milestone.
As we reported last week, a GSM version of the Motorola Droid has been spotted in the wild, indicating a European release of the Android 2.0-packing handset. But now, an eagle-eyed German blogger has spotted the Droid turn up as the Motorola Milestone on a European carrier’s website.
The phone is priced at €402 and, as mentioned, has decided to have a bit of a name change for when it joins the European Android line-up. The fact that it’s been named and priced in Europe hopefully suggests that Moto’s most exciting handset since the RAZR will be in Blighty before Christmas – we’ll let you know the moment it’s confirmed.
