The Sony Ericsson Satio may sound like some sort of hand cream for sensitive skin, but if you’ve caught any of our coverage of the multimedia mobile monster so far, you’ll know it’s something much more important than “hygiene”. It’s only one of the world’s first 12.1-megapixel cameraphones, firing off shots sharper than a whetted kitchen knife, so read on to watch us taking it for a spin on video!
Sony Ericsson has been teasing us with the launch of its Satio, stuffed full of more features than a Sunday supplement, for months now, but the time is almost here, and to prove it, we’ve grabbed one early for a sneak peek play.
How does the Sony Ericsson Satio fare? Whack the play button and you can see for yourself, but suffice to say it made us have a special shiver when we powered it up. That lavish 3.5-inch touchscreen offers almost acres of screen real estate and is porfect for watching movies on the move.
But the camera, man, the camera. What’s it like? Top of the line, of course: for those not up to speed on their shutterbug terminology, the Sony Ericsson Satio’s 12.1-megapixel camera takes huge pictures, big enough to blow up all the way to A3 size. There’s a stack of snapping options too to help you get the best pic possible including one Sony Ericsson’s called, er, BestPic. It’s pretty literal: flicking it on reels off a set of snaps for you to choose the very finest from to keep.
Of course, not everyone wants their drunken group hugs stretched up to lifesize, so if you just want to dump them on Facebook, you can do that too with the Sony Ericsson Satio’s 3G connection.
Don’t take our word for it on all this hype though: watch the Sony Ericsson Satio’s super still taking skills in action, and much more, in our hands-on video right here. Just click to enjoy.
