The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 has landed folks, and just in case you missed our first hands-on with the X2, we’ve got the video to prove it. Want to know if the new look and a host of new features inside the X2 are enough to get you to lay down your wonga? Read on for our hands-on video to help you decide.
For those who’ve been out of the loop on this brand new smartie from Sony Ericsson, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 is the mobile giant’s second outing with Windows Mobile, following, you’ve guessed it, the Xperia X1.
We’ve been playing around with it all day, and for those worried that this sequel might follow the law of diminishing returns like a Hollywood Cash-In Part Five, there’s good news: we’re here to lay those fears to rest.
Sure, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 has certainly taken cues from the design of the first Xperia mobile phone: the compact slide out form with QWERTY keyboard for serious SMSers and the panel homescreen skin draped on top of Windows Mobile. But it’s taken the looks and specs to the next step. To complement the all-new, smoother touchscreen face with no art deco looking buttons bringing it down, there’s now a stonking 8.1-megapixel camera just begging you to dump your compact camera for. The video won’t give you the best idea of its snap quality, but take it from us: it’s sharp, and the software options Sony Ericsson offers help pick the precise moment to fire.
What the video does do though is show the Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 in action from every conceivable angle and more, so we suggest you smack that play button right now, grab some popcorn and enjoy.
